Oh, wow. It's been a really long time since I've been here. I just got to get to a computer again, at the public library. So much has happened since I last posted. It seems like so long ago. i feel so tempered now, so mature. My back hurts.
I was in this hospital for a while working with a physical therapist after the leap into the void. Now at school, they have all these special grating things on the window. They cost all this money, and the principal said it was because of me that they got them. and now the lacrosse team doesn't get new uniforms because there's no money left.
I got a visit from Barbara twice while I was in the hospital. I like having a girlfriend. Once she brought me jello. And the other time she came to tell me that she was sorry but she had a boyfriend now. I asked her why she was sorry, and told her that I was really happy I happy and I didn't know I was her boyfriend. Then she helped me use my straw and drink cranberry juice.
I missed my landing pad when I did the leap into the void. So I kinda fell on my hip, but it was also kinda like my head. And my neck and my back and my knees. But I got to be on TV! There were reporters talking to me at school. They got there before the ambulance. And people were laughing and pointing. And I got into the paper as a modern art genius. Only the paper didn't phrase it that way.
I sent a copy of the articles to the Art Institute of Chicago and Cooper Union. So I have to make calmer art now. I can't do any crazy stuff right now, 'cause I think I kinda had my fifteen minutes of fame and if I did any more art I would get in big trouble with my parents.
So now I'm really into lincoln logs. And I've also been rebuilding a lawnmower motor and transforming it into an interactive sculpture that tracks the location of the viewer and spits gasoline at them. But I can't make any art for a good while.
I got a couple of emails asking about me. I was so touched. It was appreciated. Justin Burnett is a very nice man. I just got the email today, because they got computers at the library. My brother took his computer to college with him. I miss having him around. And his computer. Maybe I can get my drivers' license now. Or more jello. I eat a lot of jello. My brother has a car. he can drive back and forth from school. |
